Description
The Maryland City Park houses this large fenced dog park. The grounds here are a combination of dirt and grass, mainly the latter with the only exceptions being the high trafficked areas. The entire park here spans a considerable amount of space The fenced area is split into two sections, one for large canines and another for small breeds and puppies.

The large canine area has a decent bit of space. You could play games here like fetch or frisbee provided you limit your throws a bit. Benches are placed throughout the park, several at the entrance to the park and many others along the fence line of the Maryland City Dog Park.

There is not much shade for this seating or the Maryland City Dog Park as a whole. Some trees sit between the dog park and the rest of the park, but these trees do not produce shade for the dog park except when the sun is low enough in the sky that they cast long shadows.

The grounds at this dog park are decently maintained. The grass stays short, and the garbage cans get taken out regularly. You will find plastic bags at the entrance to the dog park to pick up your dog's feces. The Maryland City Park is quite significant in its own right.

There are playgrounds for children to enjoy, public restrooms and running water available during the spring and summer months, and sports fields scattered around. Walking trails are also scattered throughout the park. Your canine is allowed throughout the rest of the park including on the walking trails.

However, these trails are shared with joggers and bikers, your canine is required to remain on their leashes anytime they are outside the fenced dog park. Overall, this dog park makes for a great place to bring your canine to get some exercise on a cool day. The dog park here stays pretty busy and makes for a great place to socialize your canine and play some games.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
