The dog play area itself is comprised of one full acre of land for dogs to enjoy. It is unknown if the area is fenced or if off-leash play is permitted. To ensure the safety of all dogs enjoying the play space, it is best for dogs who lack a sufficient recall to remain on a lead. Additionally, it is mandatory for dogs to be leashed in all other areas of the park. Also not known is if there is a specific section reserved for use by dogs who are small, shy, or elderly. Dogs of all sizes and breeds are warmly welcomed to join the fun in the on-premise play space. Owners are asked to provide active supervision during all play time.Â
The Goshen Dog Park is a public facility, and as such, park officials extend an invitation to all people and their pooches to enjoy their dog playground at no cost. This doggy play haven is complete with water access which is fed by a spring. Benches are scattered throughout the area to allow owners a place to stretch their legs and enjoy viewing their dogs at play. Trash receptacles are installed on the grounds; however, owners must bring clean up bags from home as none are supplied on site. It is expected that all dog owners will assume responsibility for cleaning up after their pets. Bathrooms are housed at nearby Goshen Memorial Park for public use.Â
Goshen Memorial Park offers several attractions with something sure to suit the interests of every family member including picnic shelters, ball fields, a playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, and barbecues. Though the dog park operates year round, Goshen Memorial Park observes seasonal hours and is open only from May 1st through November 1st each year.Â
There are no officially posted regulations with which visitors to Goshen Dog Park must comply. However, to help protect against the spread of disease, up to date vaccinations are recommended. A city dog license is also an excellent idea. If you're looking for a quiet place to relax while Fido has some fun, why not consider a visit to Goshen Dog Park?
