This dog park is fenced and of a decent size, but the fence itself does not contain the space entirely, dogs that like to run away and don't have a reliable recall will be able to escape this park. The grounds here are grass and are regularly cut, but no well maintained and although the grass starts out beautiful and green in the spring, the grass is failing and turning to dirt by the fall months.
The Milan Dog Park is also a co-mingled dog park, where small breeds and large canines all share the same space. There are poop bags available at the gated entrance to the fenced section. Garbage cans are also placed at the entrance for your convenience, and these cans are emptied regularly.
There are some trees at this dog park; they are tall enough to produce a decent amount of shade for the patrons of the park. There are also a few benches for seating, some of which are strategically placed under the most massive trees and are shaded throughout most of the day. A majority of the dog park is in the sun, and your canine will get quite warm on hot days.
This park does not have running water. You can purchase some water at the gas station next door, but none is provided for you so if you do not wish to pay for the bottled water next door, remember to bring your own so you and your canine can stay hydrated. Either way, remember to bring your bowl when you come to visit the Milan Dog Park.
