If your canine likes games like frisbee or fetch, this park is the perfect one for you. The grounds here are very well maintained and stay very clean. The grass here stayed green during the spring and summer months and trimmed regularly. There are a few trees that line the park and a few inside the fenced zone as well. There are paved walking paths around the park, between each of the dog park sections and the parking lot. This park is not lit and closes shortly after sunset.
There are benches placed under many of the more massive trees which provide a considerable amount of natural shade to the patrons of the dog park. The parking lot separates the large breed section from the small breed sections of the dog park. The little dog park is right to the north of the parking lot, you can see it on the left side of the road you approach the park on. The large breed section of the dog park is to the southeast of the parking lot.
It is open during the winter, though far less used and you may not find as many canines to socialize with. The Minooka Dog Exercise Area is a small treasure in the Waukesha area. Visiting canines and the residents of the surrounding area should make the trip to this dog park, plenty of canines to socialize with and tons of wide open spaces for your canine to run around and enjoy.
