The Minto Brown Island Park Off-Leash Dog Area is in the city of Salem, Oregon. Of the one thousand two hundred acres the Minto Brown Island park encompasses, thirty acres have been designated for exercising dogs off-leash. The boundaries of this off-leash area are clearly signposted, and warnings are in place to ensure owners re-leash their dogs when leaving the specified zone. 

If owners are caught with their dogs off-leash in unauthorized zones, they are liable for a citation. The best parking lot for the dog park is lot number two, which is right alongside the off-leash area. After parking, and before going into the dog park, it is recommended owners grab some poop bags as these are located on the edge of the parking lot as is the trash bin for disposing of them. 

This off-leash area in Salem is an open meadow studded with mature trees where dogs of all sizes can really let off steam together.
