While it may not be the biggest dog park in the San Francisco area, there’s plenty to suggest Moscone Dog Play Area is one of the best. This small dog park, located just over a mile away from Fisherman’s Wharf, is a favorite hangout for urban pooches and pet parents keen for some outdoor fun.
As one of the newer dog parks in San Francisco, Moscone Dog Play Area offers a clean and modern setting for off-leash socializing. This fully enclosed pup playground features a turf area where your pooch can soak up some sun, and a shaded grassy area if they need to escape the heat.Â
Picnic tables are also provided so you’ve got somewhere to sit and chat while your pup goes exploring. The park is a pretty “pawpular” spot, so expect your pet to find plenty of new friends to play with. Other features of Moscone Dog Play Area include a dog water fountain to keep your pup hydrated and trash cans to ensure that the park stays spick and span. It's unclear if clean-up bags are on site, so be sure to bring your own, and always pick up and dispose of your dog’s waste.Â
To get to this pup playground, head for the western side of Moscone Park, near the tennis courts. Restrooms are also available near the Moscone recreation fields.
If you want to take your pup to this "woofderful" little park, all of their vaccinations and licenses will need to be kept up to date. Your pet should also never be left unattended in the park, and it’s up to you to ensure that they don’t bark excessively or engage in any digging or destructive behavior.
For a "furtastic" day that'll get your dog barking, head to the Moscone Dog Play Area!
