The Ogden Dog Park is a public dog park located at the Fort Buenaventura Park in Ogden, Utah. In addition to the popular dog park, the 84-acre park features a replica fort, playgrounds, a river, walking trails, trading posts, public restrooms, and much more.
This lovely park is an off-leash dog park that opened in July 2010 and has since become a local favorite. It is nearly two acres in size, which means there is more than enough room for dogs to stretch their legs, play and socialize. It is securely fenced and has a double-gated entry system in place that helps prevent dogs from slipping out as others enter the park.
The Ogden Dog Park is highly rated by the dog owners in the community due to its well-thought-out layout and convenient location. The dog park is made up of several areas. In addition to the large dog area and the small dog run, the dog park features a nature area that is ungroomed - perfect for canines that love to sniff and explore.
At this dog park, you will also find an agility section for dogs who enjoy more of a challenge and obstacles to train on. All of the areas have a grassy or partially grassy surface, except for the agility section which is covered with woodchips. The Ogden Dog Park is equipped with several water stations which help keep the four-legged patrons hydrated.
There are free dog waste bag dispensers and conveniently placed trash cans, so please make sure to clean up after your pet if you visit this great park. Parking is nearby the dog park, as is a river that runs by the walking trail. It is a perfect location for both off-leash exercise and playtime as well as leashed walks for those canine companions who love to sniff and explore in nature.
