Olney Manor Recreational Dog Park

Opened in December 2009, the Olney Memorial Recreational Dog Park is a one-acre dog park has different play areas for small, timid dogs and large dogs. This helps ensure the safety of small dogs and also that dogs of all sizes to enjoy their day out in the sun and the fields. 

The dog park is completely fenced which provides opportunities for adequate exercise and play without the worry of escape. Located near Ballfield No. Four, the park features a mulch base. The facility is easily accessible off MD97. However, it can get very muddy easily as it rains so you might want to avoid going to the park after heavy rains. 

Aside from the off-leash dog area, the park also features other amenities such as a fun box with flat rail, Hubba Ledge, 10-foot-deep bowl, and Pyramid Ledge. There is a water fountain outside the fenced area, so there is no need to bring a water bottle for yourself and your four-legged best friend. There are readily available poop bags in the park too. 

As dog owners, you should do your part in keeping the park clean by picking up after them. More benches are needed so that pet parents have some place where they can sit and relax while supervising their pooches. There are some covered picnic table areas where you can share space with other pet parents and perhaps discuss a few secrets about training dogs. 

As part of the Montgomery Country Dog parks, there is an annual fee of $45 which is meant for the maintenance and improvement of the park. There is a fee of $5 for each additional dog. Overall, the new facilities are excellent and sufficient for pet parents looking for a place where they can take their mind off work and spend some quality time with their furbabies.
