Spread over 10-acres, the puptastic Otto Armleder Dog Park is the place for pups! Located inside the large Otto Armleder Memorial Park, this canine hot spot will have your furbaby's tail wagging!
This fully fenced-in park is double-gated, and features a waiting area in between that is quite spacious and includes benches, water fountains and trash cans. Unlike other dog parks, this one asks that you keep your dog leashed in this between area until you pass the second gate to the lawn sections. Once there, your pup can ditch the leash and run wild! A separate area for small dogs that are 22 lbs. and under ensure they can play at their own speed, while two much larger areas cater to the larger breeds and gives them plenty of room to run! This isn't an all dog area though, as small dogs are prohibited from the large dog section, just as big dogs aren't allowed in the small dog section.Â
Each of the three main sections has their own set of benches so you can stay close to your pooch, as well as clean-up bags and trash cans for easy disposal. While each area is mostly open lawn, there are strands of trees for some shade, as well as some shade structures. And there's even a shower to rinse off dirty dogs too! A separate fourth area can be found across the parking lot for working dogs, but it doesn't feature any amenities.
But the best part of this park is that there's even more to enjoy than just the off leash dog park. Clip on the leash to trek one of the park's trails, and finish the visit off with a trip to the Little Miami Scenic River where dogs can splash in the water. There's also picnic areas and more open fields for lots of park fun.
Be sure to fill any holes your dog may dig in this pupastic park before you leave. And before visiting, your dog should be fully vaccinated and wearing their city license tag.Â
When your dog needs some excitement, bring them to the furbulous Otto Armleder Dog Park!
