One of the enclosures has been reserved for use by dogs weighing less than 22 pounds. With the utmost of safety in mind, it is strictly forbidden for small dogs to enter the large dog run. Minnesota leash laws require all dogs to remain on a lead of no more than six feet when entering and exiting any off-leash play zone.
Additionally, dogs must be leashed in all public spaces. Otto Armleder Dog Park, a public dog play haven, proudly invites all pooches and their people to visit their dog playground. Entrance to the property is provided free of charge. This beloved park space has much to offer people and their pooches. The dog runs are complete with drinking water, benches, and plentiful shade trees.
Poop bags are also available on the premises. It is expected that all owners will display responsible dog ownership by cleaning up after their pets. It is unknown if bathrooms are available for public use at this location. Visitors note that this park offers ample parking opportunities. Otto Armleder Memorial Park and Recreation Complex also offers attractions for families to enjoy during their visit.
Situated on the grounds are a playground and soccer fields. For those who enjoy swimming or canoeing, Little Miami River runs through the property and provides an ideal spot for both activities. Otto Armleder Dog Park has not published any official rules regarding the use of their lovely dog playground.
However, up to date vaccinations are always an excellent idea. A city dog license is also recommended.
