Park 4 Paws Avon Lake Dog Park

Re-opened in 2008, the Park 4 Paws Avon Lake Dog Park is the first and only dog park in Lorain County, Ohio. It features everything from canine castles and dog slides to a separate small dog area, grass, shade trees, and benches. This park really has just enough dog and human amenities to make it a wonderful place to spend the day.

The Park 4 Paws Avon Lake Dog Park is a fenced-in property where owners can bring their pups to exercise off-leash, socialize with the other animals in the area, or play with the dog park equipment from Paws N Play: a canine castle, dog slide, a big ramp for big dogs and a smaller ramp for small dogs. Who in their right mind would not enjoy a castle?

The dog park also has a separate section for differently-sized dog breeds, with both dirt and grassy areas, shade trees, water fountains, water bowls as well as clean up stations for your pooch to wash off. Additional recreational opportunities at the Avon Lake Park itself include a children’s playground, ball fields, benches, picnic areas, and pavilions. 

Dogs have plenty of space to run, exercise, and play on the park equipment. Whether they are on the big or smaller ramp, dogs love to kick-start their high energy levels in this pooch-perfect fenced area. The park also provides different toys for pups to play with, such as plush toys and tennis balls. 

In other words, it is a doggie’s dream playground, suitable for both owners and their furry companions alike. Visitors must pick up after their pets and dispose of the waste in designated containers, of course. However, the Park 4 Paws Avon Lake Dog Park also offers waste bags, so that owners can maintain the area in the best condition possible.
