Patterson Dog Park

Baltimore is a large city without much reprieve for the canines cramped into small homes with no yard for a reprieve. For towns like this, dog parks are the best refuge for apartment canines. The Patterson Dog Park is no exception. The Patterson Dog Park is a fully fenced in dog park. It is relatively small compared to the dog parks you might find in smaller cities, but compared to city dog parks in Baltimore it is one of the largest. 

Games like fetch and frisbee would be quite limited, but there is plenty of room for your canine to run and play with the other visitors to the park. The Patterson Dog Park is fully fenced in, that fence separates the grounds into two sections. Small breeds, toy dogs, and puppies have a separate section from the larger canines that could potentially do them harm. 

This park has several amenities you might not find at your average dog park. Poop bags and garbage cans are placed at stations along the fence line and directly inside the entrance to the dog park. Water is available in both sections of the park. The water is in the form of fountains inside each entrance. These fountains disperse water at ground level and waist height so you and your canine can stay hydrated during your visit. 

The Patterson Dog Park has ample seating in the form of benches inside the entrance and placed sporadically along the fence line of the park. The grounds here are an astroturf. This means your canine will leave exceptionally clean in comparison to the grass or dirt dog parks. 

This means very little is needed to maintain the park and it stays clean and in good condition throughout the year. Paved walking paths lead from both sides of the Patterson Dog Park to the parking lot. Parking at this location is free, the park does not require any membership and is open to the public.
