Paws 'N Play Dog Park

The Paws 'N Play Dog Park is a community run park for your pooch that relies solely on donations and volunteers. The park is a 4.5-acre space for your pup to run and play with other pups. He can let out all his energy as he runs through the grass-covered park. There are some young trees scattered throughout the park, too. The fenced-in park has separate spaces for the big dogs and the little dogs for your pup to run off-leash.

The park also has amenities, like benches and chairs for the humans, and agility equipment for your canine pals. During the summer months, you might find some doggie pools for your pup to splash around in. For the days when it is raining too hard, or the wind is too strong for you, you can take cover in a small enclosed shelter. You can keep an eye on your dog while staying dry and comfortable. 

You should bring water for your pup, because in late June 2018, a community member posted that there may be an issue with the water provided from the barrels. You can find updates by using their Facebook page or contacting the volunteer board. Garbage pails are placed for your convenience to encourage you to clean up after your dog. It is not clear if dog-poop bags are provided, so be safe and bring your own just in case. 

The Paws 'N Play Dog Park is a popular dog park, and you want to make sure you are a good visitor and follow the rules. You have to clean up after your dog and do not bring an aggressive or antisocial dog to the park. You also cannot bring human food into the park and children under eight years old are not permitted in the park. 

The rules of the park state also that dog owners are legally and financially responsible for their dogs. While it is not required, a $2.00 donation is requested. Additionally, if you are interested in becoming more involved in the park development and maintenance, you can attend the Dog Park Board Meetings that are held on the second Tuesday of each month.
