Description

Going to the dog park is fun for people, but some dog parks are more fun or people. Like Play, Wash, Pint in Chattanooga, Tennessee. As you've already figured out from the name, Play, Wash, Pint is a combination dog park and beer pub. It's a pub with a private dog park that also has a self-service dog wash station and a doggie daycare. Are you intrigued yet? Because let's face it, this is a really cool concept.

So, let's start with the most important part - the Play. The dog park is Play, Wash, Pint is divided into three parts, a section for small dogs under 30 pounds, a section for free play for all dogs, and a long area called the Fetch Zone, specifically for dogs that like to catch and return, well, whatever you've got; balls, frisbees, sticks, pretty much anything.

Play, Wash, Pint has lots of workers, called Ruff Rangers, to help your dog have a good time. The free play area has agility equipment, and in the summer, they have doggie pools. The small dog section, of course, has smaller agility equipment. The fetch zone, however, doesn't have anything to impede an otherwise unobstructed view.

There is a self-service dog wash station, with large, metal wash basins at waist height. The basins are large enough for most breeds. Play, Wash, Pint provides shampoo and towels. You can also blow dry your dog. Appointments are 30 minutes, and they can be scheduled in advance. The stations are cleaned by staff between grooming sessions.

The dog park at Play, Wash, Pint is members only. In order for your dog to enjoy the park, you have to provide up-to-date proof of vaccinations. You don't have to have a dog to enjoy the place, however. The pub at Play, Wash, Pint serves beer, soft drinks, and water. They offer beers on tap and by the bottle. The beers are rotated regularly.

They also serve Bowser Beer, which is a non-alcoholic, non-carbonated, beer-flavored beverage specially formulated for dogs. The pub sells some bar food for people, and there are plenty of dog treats. The bar is indoor/outdoor with a lovely deck so you can watch the puppies play. There are also lawn chairs and other seating outside so you can participate in the action.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
