The Potso Dog Park is the largest of the three dog parks in the city. This park is a fully fenced dog park. The fence also separates this section into two areas, one for small canines and one for their larger counterparts. The ground here is grass and stays in pretty good shape. The grounds are well maintained, but after a heavy rain, this grass field can turn into a mud pit rather quickly.
The area at the Potso Dog Park itself is quite large, and the space for your canine is enough to wear out even the most rambunctious. There is enough room to play some long-range games like fetch or frisbee. The park does not open until 12:30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays as they use this time for maintenance.
You will also find a walking path at the Potso Dog Park that lines the fence. You can walk this path while your canine exercises and socializes. There are no public restrooms available here. There is ample parking, and it is close to the dog park. There is also a paved walkway from the parking lot to the dog park.
This park has picnic tables and benches scattered throughout the park and along the walking path. There is no water at this dog park, so remember to bring your own and stay hydrated! There is some shade provided by trees that line the park and a couple inside the fenced zone. Some of these trees stand tall over picnic tables and other seating, making this a pleasant park to relax at while your canine plays about.
Poop bags and garbage cans are at the entrance to each section of the dog park. At the far end of the park, some old tires have been converted into agility equipment. Overall the Potso Dog Park is a great dog park for you to bring your canine and enjoy the sun.
