The Quarry Dog Park is an off-leash area to bring your dog to play. The large dog park is fenced in for your dog’s safety. It also helps you be worry-free about your dog running too far away. The spacious area has trees that provide shade in the summer months as well as benches for pet parents to relax.Â
There is a wooden bridge for the dogs to climb and plenty of space to play fetch with your dog. The park provides water through a spigot that can be used to fill a community dog bowl as well as a personal dog bowl. The water is available from May to the end of September. It is then turned off for the colder months out of the year. During this time you can bring bottled water and a portable bowl to provide water for your dog.Â
All dogs that visit this park need to be licensed and vaccinated. Place tags on your dog’s collar, so other pet parents are aware he is healthy and safe to be around. Any dogs that are sick need to stay home and return to the park once they are fully recovered.Â
The park is a clean environment that requires dog owners to remove dog feces immediately after it happens. This prevents other dogs and people from stepping in it and spreading it throughout the park. Pet parents are encouraged to bring their poop bags to collect the dog feces. There are trash cans located near the dog park for proper disposal.Â
Dogs usually play well together in the open space. However, if any aggression arises between dogs the owner needs to remove them from the designated area immediately. Overall, this park is clean, safe and has plenty of room for dogs to run around as much as they need. Pet parents are also provided a bit of comfort with benches and trees that provide shaded areas.Â
