Originally opened in 2006 on one acre of property, recent reviews list this dog park as closed for renovations. A volunteer group known as the Friends of Rebel's Dog Park are currently seeking donations and assistance to help rebuild the park for a future re-opening of the space.
Rebel's Dog Park provides water on-site to help ensure that Fido and his friends remain hydrated during their visit to the park. In addition to this, benches are situated throughout the property in shaded areas to ensure respite from the hot sun for owners while they supervise their dogs at play.
While there are few rules regarding the use of the play areas, Rebel's Dog Park officials do reserve the park space for use by altered dogs only. Though not specifically listed, it is wise for all dogs to be current on vaccinations and to bear the appropriate required state license tag.
It is unknown if poop bags are provided on-site. However, it is required that all owners carry bags with them and assist with cleaning up and properly disposing of their dog's waste materials in the provided trash receptacles. There are no bathroom facilities available on the premises for public use.
The Friends of Rebel's Dog Park are hard at work with many different fundraising initiatives to see this park restored to its former glory. For parties interested in assisting with their efforts, information is available by contacting the Humane Society of Harford County directly. For owners of altered dogs seeking a fun off-leash play space to enjoy, keep your eyes open for the grand re-opening of Rebel's Dog Park!
