Richmond Dog Park

The Richmond Dog Park is an off-leash dog park in Richmond, Rhode Island. This dog park has been created on the site of a previous landfill, so there's always going to be lots of heady aromas for the dogs visiting it to sniff. That's what's called making something worthwhile out of nothing. Could this be the future of landfills worldwide? Let's hope so.

The dog park is a delightfully spacious and grassy field where Richmond pups are happy to enjoy some great off-leash time. Do they care it was once a rubbish dump? No, they do not. They absolutely love their dog park and rightfully so. The off-leash compounds are surrounded by forested land, have grass, dirt, and gravel surfaces plus several pieces of picnic furniture for their pet parents to sit on. 

It's all been made secure for them with a solid chain-link perimeter fence which is over four-feet-high. Yes, it does get a bit flooded after there's been some heavy rain, but that just adds to the enjoyment. What dog doesn't like to splash around in a puddle when they're at the dog park? The dogs of Richmond enjoy this dog park whatever the weather. 

It doesn't matter if the grass is covered with snow or dried out from the summer heat, they feel privileged to have it. It's a great dog park no matter what the elements decide to throw at it. The city pups are truly grateful to the pet parents and organizations, and in particular to the Dog Park Committee, who raised the funds to give them such a fun place to expend their energy in.

All the dogs in town who are fortunate enough to be taken to this great facility, which is one of a kind in Richmond, are determined to make sure their pet parents do their duty. By scooping poop and keeping their pups under control, they'll be able to ensure that the Richmond Dog Park in the City of Richmond, Rhode Island may well be the first of many.
