Robbinsdale Park Off-Leash Dog Area is located south of the picnic areas at Robbinsdale Park. This area does not have a fence but provides plenty of room for your dog to run around and play. Pet parents are encouraged to keep their dogs on a leash until they reach the designated dog area.Â
This area is part a section of the large park that has plenty of family activities. Since the dog park area is not fenced in, you need to keep an eye on your dog to assure he doesn’t roam too far away. It’s best to keep your dog busy playing fetch and encouraging him to play with the other dogs at the park.Â
You will need to bring poop bags to clean up after your dog. This park is clean, and the designated dog area needs to be sanitary to avoid spreading germs and illness to other dogs that visit the park. Keep your dog home if he is sick or injured until he is fully healed. This keeps your dog safe from re-injury and prevents other dogs from experiencing a similar illness. Remember to keep your dog’s vaccinations up-to-date to protect him from possible illness.Â
You should always carry a fresh water bottle and portable dog bowl to assure your dog stays hydrated. This is especially helpful on hot weather days. The open area at the park allows dogs to run around as much as they like and they can get dehydrated quickly. Dogs that don’t want to share their water bowl should be given a bowl of water in another location.Â
Dogs that enjoy playing fetch and running long distances will take full advantage of this dog park. It’s an excellent place to visit daily or weekly. Your dog will never get bored running around freely, playing and socializing with other dogs at this spacious park.Â
