Room to Roam Dog Park
One of the two enclosures is reserved for use by dogs who are shy, senior, or small in size. Here, a gentler play style is adopted to prevent any accidents or injury. Though these runs are off-leash zones, safety is of paramount importance. With this in mind, owners must take care to carry a lead with them in case it is needed.Â
Access to Room to Roam Dog Park is free of charge. Since the park is maintained on donations from the public, any monies are grateful received and applied to ongoing park maintenance efforts and future renovations. This 9.8 acre dedicated dog facility is quite picturesque with its verdant green grass areas and rolling terrain.Â
It is extremely well-equipped to ensure Fido and his family have all that they will need for a great day at the dog park. Among the on-site amenities are picnic shelters and tables, agility equipment, water access, and poop bags. It is the responsibility of all owners to clean up after their pets.Â
This gesture is greatly appreciated by the volunteer staff who care for the grounds and helps to assist them in fulfilling their mandate of a clean, safe park space for all. Bathrooms are also housed on the grounds for public use. There are also benches within the enclosed areas where owners can relax and enjoy viewing their dogs having fun with their favorite canine pals.Â
There are no official rules in place regarding the use of this park space. However, to help protect against the threat of disease, all dogs visiting public playgrounds should be current on vaccinations. A city dog license is also suggested.
