Roy City Dog Park, also known simply as Roy Dog Park, is situated in the small town of Roy, Utah. This small dog playground offers a single fully fenced run where dogs can enjoy off-leash activity and socializing with other socially appropriate dogs. The park is currently in the development phases, and fundraising is ongoing. Improvements will be made as funds permit.
Though there is not currently a fenced space dedicated for use by small, senior, or shy dogs, this may be included in future park renovations. Though the enclosure is reserved for off-leash exercise, park officials place great importance on proper safety habits. With this in mind, owners are asked to assist the park management team by providing active supervision when their dogs are in the play area.Â
In addition to this, it is mandatory for all owners to carry a lead with them and to keep their dogs leashed when entering and exiting the facility as well as in all public areas. Roy City Dog Park is currently a public dog play haven, and entrance to the property is extended to all people and their pooches free of charge. However, donations are gratefully accepted.Â
All monies received are put towards ongoing park maintenance and future improvements. At this time, Roy City Dog Park offers no amenities other than a fully fenced enclosure. There are no benches housed on the grounds for public use. To be certain to have everything needed for a great day at the dog park, it is wise for all owners to pack the following items: bottled water, a dish, lawn chairs, and poop bags.Â
It's the responsibility of all owners to clean up after their pets to help maintain a clean space for all to enjoy. It is unknown if bathrooms are housed on the grounds. Though there are no officially posted regulations regarding the use of Roy City Dog Park, it is always advisable for dogs to be current on vaccinations. A city dog license is also preferred. For a day of fun at a new Utah dog park, bring Fido for a play date at Roy City Dog Park!Â
