At this park, you will find picnic ramadas, playgrounds, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, a basketball court, a swimming pool, softball fields, soccer fields, football fields, a public library, and the fabulous off-leash dog park. You can also take your dog on the paths outside of the dog park. When you are at this park, you must pick up and watch over your dog all of the time.
The soccer field and library sit on the beautiful historic site in the Payson area, and if you are interested in scheduling a sporting event or rental, you can visit the community park office for more information. Although this all sounds terrific, you may be wondering about the dog park.
Well, the Rumsey Dog Park is a great place to take your dog, and it is entirely off-leash in a gated area. Your dog will have complete freedom to run wild during your time here at this park. You will also find areas to sit and play with your dog, and it may be important to note that some owners claim the dog area is a bit dusty.
Dogs must also be above the age of four months and not in heat to visit the Rumsey Dog Park. In addition, all dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before coming to the park. Owners may be limited to the number of dogs they bring into the gated area. Overall, this park is an excellent place, so feel free to check it out if you are in the Payson area.
