Description

The Salem Dog Park at Old Settlers Park has two separate areas for small and large dogs. Senior dogs or timid dogs can visit the smaller dog area to feel more comfortable. Pet owners need a dog tag to enter the park and there is a small fee involved before you and your four-legged friend can use this dog park.

Residents pay $20 and non-residents pay $25. You can purchase the dog tag at Randall town hall, Somers town office, Twin Lakes Villiage hall, Wheatland town hall, Pleasant Prairie Village office and the Kenosha County administrative building. Pet parents are required to show documentation of rabies vaccination as well as a license for your dog.

The dog park fees for the Salem Dog Park are subject to change, but you can find current information on the dog park website. This beautiful park has lots of green grass and a fenced-in area to prevent your dog from escaping. There is plenty of room to run around with your dog or play a game of fetch.

Just make sure you bring along a ball or toy for your dog. Also, be prepared for other dogs at the park to join in the fun. The Salem Dog Park at Old Settlers Park is kept clean, and pet parents are required to clean up after their dog as quickly as possible. Bring plastic doggie poop bags along every time you visit the park. There are trash cans available to dispose of the dog waste.

You are encouraged to keep your dog hydrated by bringing fresh water and a bowl. However, strict dog park rules say that you need to provide your dog with water and a bowl on the exterior of the designated area to avoid aggression from other dogs.

Overall, the Salem Dog Park at Old Settlers Park is a beautiful dog park to visit frequently. It has plenty of space for your dog to run around and exercise. Always bring along a leash, fresh water, bowl and poop bags to assure you are adhering to the park guidelines.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
