Description
Salt Fork State Dog Park finds its home in the family-friendly state recreational area which bears the same name. This beloved dog playground is located in Lore City, Ohio, and earns high marks from visiting families for its beautiful natural setting and impressively varied terrain which makes the area suitable for hiking and exploration.

The dog playground encompasses one acre of property and is fully fenced to encourage off-leash exercise and proper socialization opportunities for all dogs. The enclosure itself winds around a lake where dogs are permitted to enjoy a refreshing dip to cool off on a hot day.

At this time, Salt Fork State Dog Park does not offer a separate play space purely for use by small, shy, or senior dogs. Since conflict can arise during off-leash play, Salt Fork State Dog Park has enlisted the help of all owners by requiring that they actively supervise their dogs during their play time in the on-premise dog run.

Though off-leash activity is encouraged at Salt Fork State Dog Park, owners must still be in possession of a lead at all times and keep their dogs leashed when not in a designated off-leash zone.

Salt Fork State Dog Park, a public dog play haven, is pleased to offer entrance to their property at no cost to all people and their pooches. The dog play space consists of grass and offers ample room for Fido to stretch his legs with his best canine pals. Also on the grounds is a walking trail as well as picnic areas and plentiful parking.

Complimentary poop bags are provided, and owners are asked to make use of them to clean up after their furbabies as is required by Ohio state law. Bathrooms are housed nearby at Salt Fork State Park's family beach region. Drinking water isn't available on the premises.

Owners should bring bottled water and a dog dish with them from home to take care of Fido's hydration needs. Salt Fort State Park bears the distinction of being Ohio's largest state park at 17,229 acres. It boasts of many great recreational activities for families to enjoy. Fido is welcome in the family-centric Salt Fork State Park; however, he must remain on a lead in these areas.

There are no officially posted regulations regarding the use of this lovely dog playground. However, it's always a good idea for dogs to be current on vaccinations as well as to be licensed with their city. For a day of fun at an idyllic Ohio play space, bring Fido and the family to Salt Fork State Dog Park!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
