Sara Dog Park

The Sara Dog Park is an off-leash dog park in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. This dog park is also known as the Dylan Dog Park and is located in the city's Sara Park. There's a large parking lot at the end of McCulloch Avenue where users of the dog park facility can leave their vehicles. 

While this dog park in Lake Havasu City might be a little off the beaten track, it's well worth a visit. There are two good-sized fields which have been fenced and provide some great space for dogs to have off-leash time in. The pathway leading up to the staging areas is paved, wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and the gates are easily manipulated by someone who needs to remain seated. 

The paved pathways also continue in and completely around both the big and small dog off-leash areas. A big thumbs up for the designers of the Sara Dog Park who made it accessible for those pet parents who have mobility challenges. The small dog park section of the Sara Dog Park in Lake Havasu City is reserved for pups weighing under twenty-five pounds. 

If pet parents have a feisty mini pup which enjoys the company of bigger dogs, they are permitted to go into the large breed area but big pups, no matter how gentle need to stay on their own side. While both sides of the dog park do have a few small trees, they don't offer much in the way of shade so in summertime it gets pretty hot in there. 

The Sara Dog Park does have a water supply which is used to fill up the splash pools when it's hot as well as for quenching a pup's thirst. Poop bags are stowed in on-site poop dispensers, and there are several trash containers for the responsible dumping of used bags.
