This pawsitively awesome park is beautifully landscaped with colorful benches and potted trees lining the perimeter of the fenced runs. Here, you can relax and enjoy taking in the refreshing DC air while your fave pooch has a ball. No amenities are provided at this woofderful doggy playground, so you should bring along some bottled water and cleanup bags from home.Â
To prevent any potential accidents or injuries that could make playtime not-so-furiendly, Shaw Dog Park has instituted some basic rules. Alcohol, food, glass containers, soccer balls, and other sports equipment are not permitted on the grounds. Shaw Dog Park limits the number of dogs in the large dog run to 28, with the small play area reaching its limit at five. Should you visit the park during times of high traffic, you are asked to limit your pupperoni's play time to no longer than 30 minutes.Â
Shaw Dog Park prohibits nuisance barking and asks that you not bring retractable leashes, or spike or choke collars to the park. Be sure your dog has the following tags on display on their collar: a Rabies tag, a DC Dog Registration tag, and a DC Dog Exercise tag.Â
