Sonoita Creek Natural Area

In Santa Cruz County, Arizona is a city named Nogales. This pretty town borders Sonora, Mexico and is a natural beauty within Arizona. Sonoita Creek Natural area is in Nogales, Arizona. This state park is just a bit downstream from Patagonia Lake. This dog-friendly park welcomes dogs of all breeds and sizes, provided they are on-leash while enjoying the park.

Sonoita Creek Natural Area is part of Patagonia State Park. It’s an ideal spot for nature-watching, camping, hiking, and bird-watching. There are no off-leash areas in the park and dogs cannot be in the swimming area. But your pet is allowed to accompany you on the trails and take in the site of this lovely state park.

You can take in the mountain views, see natural wildlife and enjoy the gentle streaming of water within this park. Campsites are always available if you wish to stay. The park does have a small fee of $3 per individual, $15-$20 per car and $17 per campsite. But for the views and the fun you and your pooch will have, it is so worth the money.
