Furbabies are welcome to join their families on the grounds of Steinaker State Park though they must remain on-lead at all times. Unfortunately, there is not a designated dog play area, and as a result, there are also no dog amenities provided. To ensure all dogs remain well-hydrated, owners should bring drinking water with them.
Additionally, poop bags are necessary as owners are required to provide all canine waste removal services. Steinaker State Park, a private recreational area, and camping facility, offers entrance to its grounds for a fee of $8 per vehicle. Cabin rentals and campsites are available by reservation only and are fee-based.
Housed on the premises are the following great recreational attractions: camping, boating, swimming, hiking, fishing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, and paddleboarding. The grounds are also of great geological and paleontological significance. Early fossils of shellfish including oysters and clams have been found here.
The campsites offer full power and water hookups for RV use. Bathrooms which include showers are available on the grounds as well. Camping facilities are only available from May 15th through September 30th. Water hookup is turned off after October 16th. Visitors to this beautiful area remark on its cleanliness and attention to detail.
Steinaker State Park strictly observes all Utah state legislation. With this in mind, park officials require that all dogs visiting their park and campground be up to date on all immunizations. In accordance with Utah by-laws, a city dog license is also mandatory. Looking for a great new camping getaway? Bring Fido and the family to Steinaker State Park!
