Stevens Point Dog Park

Opened in 2010, the Stevens Point Dog Park in Wisconsin is divided into two sections, one for small dogs and another for larger dogs. This massive 30-acre dog park boasts more than enough space for dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds to run around to their heart’s content and have the time of their lives without the restrictions of a leash. 

Some of the Stevens Point Dog Park’s outstanding features are the mowed trails where you can take your dog for a walk, on his leash, and benches which you can share with other people who adore dogs just as much as you do. Dog scooper bags are available for free, and there are trash receptacles all over the place for easy disposal of dog waste. 

There is no reason not to help keep the park clean and maintain it. As the sign there cleverly says, there is no poop fairy, so you must pick up after your dog. This fenced park has marshy parts, tall grasses, wooded areas, as well as plenty of birds and flowers so the terrain and the variety is something pooches of all sizes and shapes will thoroughly enjoy. 

The Stevens Point Dog Park is also an excellent place for those who would like to spend their time bird watching. There are many different bird species seen here in the park all year long. Dogs must have current licenses and must be vaccinated. Accompanying humans cannot be younger than 14 years of age and must have control of their dogs at all times. 

Smoking or eating is not allowed on the premises as cigarette butts, and food wrappers can be very tempting to dogs but are bad for their health. Pooches that are sick, in heat, or are younger than four months should not be brought to the park because they will be barred from entering. Everyone is encouraged to follow the rules to make Stevens Point Dog Park a pleasant place to go.
