Description
Stonewall Jackson Lake State Park is a secluded lakeside retreat in Weston, West Virginia. Housed near to the 2,600-acre Stonewall Jackson Lake and boasting of 13 miles of pristine hiking trails, this lovely recreational facility has much to offer families and their favorite canine pals. 

This property is home to a lodge, cottages, and campgrounds, affording visitors a choice in the style of their overnight accommodations. Guests may choose from a more rustic style living or complete luxury, as the mood strikes them. Dogs are welcome to join their families throughout the premises; however, they must remain on a lead. 

There is no designated dog play area at Stonewall Jackson Lake State Park, and thus, there are no on-site amenities to meet the needs of dogs. Owners should come prepared with all of the things they may need for a great vacation getaway including drinking water, a dog dish, and poop bags. Owners are responsible to clean up after their dog. 

Bathrooms with showers are housed on the grounds for public use. It is not known if Stonewall Jackson Lake State Park is a public or a private facility; however, it is assumed that entrance to the grounds is fee-based. Accommodations must be reserved in advance and vary in pricing. 

This lovely resort and camping area offers stunning views of the lake as well as beautifully maintained hiking trails. The lake is suitable for a number of activities including fishing, kayaking, and boating. Among the fish to be found in Stonewall Jackson Lake are crappie, muskellunge, and bass. 

Bicycles, kayaks, and canoes are all available for rental at a nearby concession stand and can be interchanged throughout the day at no additional cost. Dogs visiting Stonewall Jackson Lake State Park are required to be current on all immunizations. This state park also mandates that all dogs bear an up to date state license tag on their collars.
