The City Dog Park - Burlington

The City Dog Park in Burlington is located next to the Fox River at St Mary’s Park. It is 3.5 acres of fenced-in property where dogs can run off-leash. It has separate areas designated for smaller dog breeds and larger dogs. There is plenty of open space covered with well-maintained grass for dogs to run and play. 

This a great place to socialize your dog and set up doggie play dates. You can bring a ball or a few toys to play along with your dog. Large dog breeds that require lots of exercise will be able to run around and release their energy. 

There are a few trees located in the park that provide a minimal amount of shade. There is also a picnic table available for pet parents to relax while their dog has a great time. It is best to bring water and a bowl with you to the park for your dogs. 

All the running and playing your dogs will experience can easily dehydrate them if you do not offer them water. Pet parents are advised not to bring food because some dogs jump on the picnic table and eat whatever they can grab, so it is best to leave the food at home. 

You will notice this dog park is spotless and cleaning up after your dog is mandatory. Pet parents need to carry plastic doggie waste bags with them to clean up after their dog immediately. Owners are also responsible for their dogs when visiting the park and need to remove their dog immediately if aggression is shown to others. 

Overall, this is an excellent dog park to visit frequently. Dogs get plenty of exercise while owners relax and enjoy watching their dog play. Pet parents can spend quality time with their dog at this park by playing a game of fetch or hiding-go-seek around the trees.
