If your pup is in the mood for an adventure, pack some water, clean up bags, and snacks and pay a visit to this puptacular park. Dogs that don’t mind being in a boat can paddle around with their parents. Just make sure to bring a canine life jacket. Pooches that prefer land based exploring, can venture out on one of the many trails. On leash, of course.Â
Is your hound a history buff? Then a visit to this state park is a must. It just happens to be the location where the first English settlers arrived back in 1607. Your doggo needs to be on leash while visiting, but that won’t stop them from having fun. Explore the paths with your adventurous hound, or bring a picnic and hang out by the bay.Â
If your pup is begging for some off leash excitement, head over to this furrific doggy play area. They can check their leash at the gate and let loose. You’ll find this dog park inside Red Wing Park. Please note that like Bayville Farms and Woodstock Dog Parks, this dog park requires a pass that can be purchased from Virginia Beach Recreation Center for a small fee. Get a pass today, your doggo will thank you!
Does your pup need to burn some energy? This one acre off leash park is the pawfect place to let them run wild. It’s completely fenced in and has benches, water fountains, and clean up bags. Nestled inside Woodstock Park, it’s a great spot to let your Spot socialize. Dogs of all sizes play together, so small pups need to be OK romping around with their larger peers. Don't forget to grab your pass!
This is the newest dog park in Virginia Beach, and also requires a pass to enter. It’s also the only one that has a separate play zone for small pups, so if you have an easily intimidated petite pooch, this is the place to be. No matter what size they are, your doggo will have a blast running around this pawsome park. Clean up bags and water are provided as are benches for dog moms and dads.Â
