Trap Pond State Park

Trap Pond State Park is located in the beautiful region of Delaware, providing the community with fun, adventure, and pure bliss. This state park started to form in the 1700s as Trap Pond was created. This pond was used to power a sawmill that is located in the region before the federal government purchased the park. 

This park was then crafted for recreational use by the Civil Conservation Corps, making it a state park in 1951. During your time at Trap Pond State Park, you will find many different amenities that are available for your enjoyment. You will find many different campsites, trails, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, a disc golf course, a playground, athletic fields, and so much more. 

Trap Pond State Park also has availability for hiking, biking, fishing, camping, boating, and birding. Dogs can come to this park, but they must remain on a six-foot-long leash during their entire stay. If you camp with your dog, you must pay a fee. When you come to this park, you must follow the rules and regulations that are enforced by the park authorities. 

Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the park, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must remain back at home. Dogs must be well-mannered before they come to this park as Trap Pond State Park does not tolerate any aggressive behavior, and humans must clean up and watch over their dogs while they are here. 

Humans should also bring water and dog bags for all of their fun adventures in Trap Pond State Park. If you wish to camp, you must schedule a reservation. Reservations can be made online or in the park's main office. Overall, Trap Pond State Park is a beautiful addition to the Delaware area.
