Dogs are welcome to join their families on the grounds of Union Grove State Park including the trail sections. However, dogs must remain on a leash at all times. Since there is no dog playground at this beautiful state park, there are no on-site amenities provided specifically for dogs. However, there is water access, and here, owners can obtain some drinking water for their favorite canine pal. Poop bags are not supplied. Owners should bring some with them to assist with cleaning up after their pets.
Bathrooms are available on the premises for public use. Union Grove State Park is a private recreational area and campground. A $6 daily fee is required to access the grounds. An annual pass can be purchased for $30. Camping spaces are also available by reservation and at a cost $21 per night for a site with power and $17 per night for a standard lot. Hunting is permitted in season on the grounds.
This pristine naturally landscaped area is home to various species of wildlife including deer, wild turkey, beavers, and many types of birds such as blue jays, cardinals, orioles, grosbeak, and warblers. The area is also conducive to horseback riding, hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing. Dogs visiting Union Grove State Park must be current on all vaccinations.
