Vista del Camino Dog Park - Scottsdale

Vista del Camino Dog Park is a public dog park located at the Vista del Camino Park in Scottsdale, Arizona. In addition to the dog park, the 71-acre Vista del Camino community park is home to a community center, a splash pad, volleyball courts, a basketball court, restrooms, playgrounds, and two fishing lakes. Every member of the family will enjoy spending a day outdoors in this amenity-laden park, especially since dogs are allowed in most parts of the park as long as they are leashed.

The half-an-acre Vista del Camino Dog Park can be found north of the parking area off Pierce and Hayden. It has a very simple, open space layout that consists of a single securely fenced and double-gated section for dogs of all breeds and sizes to run and play together. 

The Vista del Camino Dog Park may not be the ideal location for timid or smaller dogs who cannot keep up with the bigger hounds. However, it is a great location for those that get along with everyone as there is a wonderful variety of dog breeds that attend this dog run on a regular basis. 

The dog park is equipped with several benches and shaded seating areas which enable owners to keep their dogs in sight as the pooches enjoy their leash-free exercise and fun. There are also doggie water fountains available in the dog park, so owners won’t have to worry about their four-legged buddies staying hydrated.

There are a few trees in the dog park but there isn’t a lot of shade, which is something to consider when picking a day to visit the park. The park surface consists of grass and dirt. It is a great place for throwing the ball around with your pooch and games of tug-and-war since the park is rarely crowded.

Although the Vista del Camino Dog Park is not large, it makes up for it by having a clean environment and a cozy, calm atmosphere for dogs to be off-leash. So if you live in the area, make sure you stop by and check this park out!
