Even though Warrior is in the name, only fun and friendly dogs are allowed at this park. You can take your dog camping at one of the 134 campsites, 94 of which are connected to electricity and water. Your pup can join you and your family while you camp at no additional fee, just be sure to follow the rules.Â
Dogs must always be on their leash, no longer than six feet, and dogs must never be left alone. Your pooch must also follow the campground rules, including quiet hours, being friendly and not aggressive, and responsive to your call. Also, make sure your pooch is up to date on vaccinations and is currently healthy.Â
There are modern showers and bathrooms for the humans, but be mindful that dogs aren't allowed in any buildings or on any beaches. You'll never just want to stay at your site all day because there is so much to do. Warriors' Path State Park has 950 acres of land for you and your dog to explore.Â
For the humans, there are boating and bike trails, but for you and Fido, you two can explore the miles and miles of hiking trails. The trails range from half a mile to six miles and vary in difficulty. The trails will take you along the water or even through the backcountry fields and marshes. You can experience varied types of wildlife and flora when you're out in the Warriors' Path State Park.Â
Remember when you're hiking that your pup can sniff out the local plants and vegetation, but not to do anything other than sniff around. If you're curious about what type of local flora is at this park, you can visit their website for a thorough list. When you're hiking with Fido, don't forget to take your plastic bags with you so you can clean up after he goes. The campsite prices range from $15-$27 per night.
