An off-leash facility that gives canines the chance to enjoy playtime in their fenced park, the Wayne Morse Ranch Dog Park can be easily accessed by walking down a graveled path to a pasture. This family farm is the former home of Senator Wayne Morse, a prominent figure in politics who has come to be the symbol of service and integrity in America.Â
It is the only park on the National Register of Historic Places. This vast 27-acre park has a historical house, meadow, and natural wooded area. The Wayne Morse Ranch Dog Park can be easily accessed through the main lot by walking east down the rocky path to the fenced pasture.Â
The house is available for rent for events and can accommodate up to 30 people. There is drinking water available for Spike and his friends, and there is dog waste disposal all throughout the bark park. However, there are no poop bags so pet parents must bring some.Â
There are kiddie pools and buckets where Spike can enjoy playing in the water. Pet parents may take their four-legged best friend out for a walk on the trails, but dogs have to be on a leash. This beautiful dog park is one of the nicest in Eugene, but it can get muddy during the fall and winter season.Â
Although there are restrooms in the area, they are seasonal, so you might want to use the toilet first before you leave your home and go to the park. Pet parents and their furbabies are expected to follow specific guidelines when visiting dog parks.Â
Female dogs in heat cannot be in the park, as well as dogs that are not vaccinated and licensed. Food is also not allowed in the park. The park also doubles as a rescue center for injured birds and other small animals. If you and your four-footed furry friend are looking for some fun in nature, try the Wayne Morse Ranch Dog Park.
