Wellington Reservation
Though there is not a designated dog play area, dogs are welcome to join their owners at Wellington Reservation. In accordance with Ohio law, all dogs must remain on a lead at all times. There are drinking fountains throughout the park where owners can obtain water to help keep their dogs well-hydrated.
Additionally, bathrooms are housed on the grounds for public use. Wellington Reservation is a public recreational space. Entrance to the premises is provided to all pooches and their people at no cost. This stunning property offers many outdoor activities for families to enjoy.
Among the most popular attractions are hiking, biking, fishing, boating, and observing wildlife in its natural habitat. The Wellington South Reservoir consists of 21 acres of waterways that are teeming with bass, catfish, and bluegill, sure to please the avid fisherman.
There are also kayaks and paddleboats available for rental in season. The Wellington Visitor Center is home to two levels which offer different amenities for visitors to enjoy. The lower level contains a meeting room available for rental for large-scale gatherings or private conferences.
The Wellington Reservation property is also home to over four miles of hiking trails which span a wide variety of terrain with something to suit the fitness level of every family member. Also situated on the grounds is a playground for children to enjoy.
Wellington Reservation proudly supports and enforces all Ohio state legislation. With this in mind, it is mandatory for all dogs visiting Wellington Reservation to up to date on immunizations.
