Wesley Linn Park Off Leash Area

Oregon City was once the capital of Oregon Territory. Funny thing is the capital of Oregon has moved from Oregon City to Salem to Corvallis and then it was decided that Salem was the best location for capital. Anyways, this scenic city with pine trees, stunning cliffs and the Rocky Mountains in the distance is a bubbling town filled with 22 different parks. 

Wesley Linn Park is just one of those dog-friendly parks in Oregon City that dog owners love to frequent with their pets. Most of Oregon County and Clackamas County have a dog leash ordinance. However, three parks with the area allow for dogs to be off-leash this includes Wesley Linn, Park Place, and Barclay Hills. 

Wesley Linn Park is both a human park and dog off-leash park. The park itself has a playground area, baseball diamond, a covered picnic shelter, a lovely grass field and a walking path. Furbabies are allowed off-leash in the open field. However, it is not a fully fenced-in park area, so your dog should have a good handle on voice commands before coming to play.

There are restrooms and garbage cans at this park for your convenience. City laws state that you must clean up after your pet immediately. It is important to keep the park clean for the enjoyment of everyone who visits. Dogs should be on-leash when they are not inside the limits of the off-leash field. Also, your pet can accompany you on the walking path providing he or she is leashed.
