The trails traverse ground that is hilly and wooded in portions but is also home to wide grassy spaces for exploration, ensuring there are trails to meet the fitness level of every member of the family. Though there isn't a specific area reserved for dog play at Wildcat Mountain State Park, dogs are welcome to join their owners in most sections of this lovely state park.
However, there are certain areas where dogs are not permitted, and in all other portions of the facility, dogs must remain leashed at all times. There are no known amenities provided for dogs on the premises. Owners should bring drinking water and poop bags with them to the park. It is the responsibility of all owners to clean up after their pets.
This is a private recreational area and campground, and entrance to the property is permitted only to those who have obtained a vehicle admission sticker. Daily passes can be purchased for $8 for Wisconsin residents and $11 for those residing elsewhere. Also available is an annual permit at the cost of $28 for those residing in Wisconsin and $38 for all others.
Wildcat Mountain State Park offers many recreational activities for families to enjoy. Among the outdoor opportunities are camping, swimming, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, canoeing, picnicking, and horseback riding. The Kickapoo River teems with brown trout, making it an ideal spot for fishing.
Campsites are available by reservation only, and additional charges apply. Bathrooms with showers are housed on the grounds for public use. Wildcat Mountain State Park strictly observes all Wisconsin law and as such requires dogs visiting their beautiful recreational center to be current on all vaccinations.
