This Wilderness Park Off-Leash Dog Area is for dogs and pet parents that enjoy exploring nature. The area does not have a fence and allows your dog to roam free on a path and through the trees. You need to keep your dog on a leash throughout the other areas of the park and only un-leash him after you reached the designated dog park area.
If you are concerned your dog will run away, keep him on a leash and explore the area together. There is a hill that leads to the pathway which is an excellent area for your dog to get plenty of exercise running uphill. This natural area has twigs, long grass, trees and wild plants. As a pet parent, you will need to wear sneakers or hiking boots in this area.
There is plenty of room to play fetch with your dog at this park. If your dog enjoys sniffing around and exploring nature, he will enjoy this park. You can also exercise your dog by throwing the ball towards the top of the hill while you wait for him on the pathway below. It is great for dog breeds that require plenty of exercise.
Keep your dog’s vaccinations up to date to protect him from illnesses. Other dogs roam this area as well as small wild animals such as squirrels. In addition, if your dog is sick or recovering from an injury, keep him home until he feels better or is fully healed.
Always clean up after your dog and do not forget to bring along the poop bags and a portable trash bag. You should also bring a bottle of water and a portable bowl to keep your dog hydrated during his adventure at the park. Overall, this is a peaceful park that allows you and your dog to explore nature, get exercise, get away from the city noise and have fun.
