The Scout Burnell-Gabrecht Dog Park in Xenia is a fun and exciting place that is not only the town's only dog park, but a furbulous spot to let your dog run off-leash. Often called the Scout Dog Park, this two-acre property has beautiful green grass for your dog to run around as much as they like.
Located inside Pierce Park, this furbulous dog area is fully fenced in and features two separate sections for big and little pups. Once you pass the gate, you can ditch the leash and let your dog run free! Note that there is a separate entrance to the dog park and parking area just to the northwest of the main park entrance. Unlike the rest of Pierce Park that is covered in trees, the dog park area has been mowed and maintained to provide a safe and fun surface to play on, with a few trees here and there. Both big and small dog sections feature a lot of open land to run and socialize. Plenty of seating areas offer places for you to relax while your pup plays, including both covered and uncovered benches.
Also for your convenience are several clean-up bag stations to help pick up after pups. A trash can is located at the entrance to the dog runs. During the warmer months, drinking water is available from a water fountain. If you come during the colder winter months, be sure to bring your own water for your thirsty pup. A portable restroom is in the parking area for the humans.
Be sure to keep your dog in sight and under control, and have them fully vaccinated and licensed before you come. Some owners have noted that the fences are not very high and the park is near a road, so be prepared if you have a jumper. Otherwise, sit back and let the pup fun run wild!
No bones about it, your dog will love the Scout Burnell-Gabrecht Dog Park!
