The first quarter-mile of the Arroyo Sequit Loop Trail will be paved, but the remaining 1.5-mile loop features mainly dirt and grassland. You will immediately come across public bathrooms and a picnic area once the dirt path begins. Arroyo Sequit offers quaint, relaxing views of the Santa Monica mountains, valleys full of wildflowers, and a wooftastic waterfall in season. Occasionally you and your pup might have to cross small streams which run through the valley. The Arroyo Sequit Loop Trail also houses an observatory for late-night stargazers which is often used by students. The trail is shaded in parts thanks to towering trees overhead, but bring a hat to cover up just in case.
Remember to step aside and be courteous to passers-by along the trail! In addition to fellow trail explorers, keep an eye out for wildlife, such as rattlesnakes, ticks, and pesky plants such as poison oak and ivy. Also, there is no water access along the trail; make sure to carry some for you and your pup! If you and your pooch are woofing for a relaxing outdoor excursion, look no further than to the Arroyo Sequit Loop Trail for a day full of adventure!
