Bird Walk Coastal Access Trail is on the shorter side, with the loop trail being just over one mile in length. Don't let that fool you, though: This trail is a must-see!Â
Bird Walk Coastal Access Trail is located in Bodega Bay, California. As its name implies, it's located next to the Bird Walk, which houses thousands of birds every year. The salt marsh that the trail is located on provides a beautiful view while you're out getting your exercise with Fido. No elevation gain information is available for this trail, but the trail is accessible for those with disabilities.Â
Your dog is more than welcome to join you on the trail, but certain restrictions apply. Fifi must always be on a leash, and the leash must be no longer than six feet in length. This is for your dog's protection as well as the protection of local wildlife. Your dog must also be fully licensed and up-to-date on vaccinations. It's your responsibility to clean up after your pet, and it's also on you to make sure you bring along waste bags. The trail doesn't provide any, nor do they provide waste bins along the way.
You'll want to make sure you bring along plenty of water for both you and your four-legged friend. As the trail is on a marsh, it can get very humid. We guarantee Fido won't be the only one panting for a drink. If you want to make your hike last a bit longer, take advantage of the picnic area! Bring along some goodies for you and your pup to share. Canine companions are allowed in the shelters.
Bird Walk Coastal Access Trail is a beautiful trail that provides you and Fido the chance to enjoy a walk together while making good memories. Whether you're just starting to hike or have been hiking for years, this trail is sure to get two paws up from you and your pup!
