If you want a pup-tastic hiking time with your fur buddy in some seriously picturesque countryside, you need to hike the Bogart Park Trail. This trail loops through Bogart Park which is just outside of Beaumont in California, and it is stunningly scenic. There is a $10 day usage fee applicable to enter the park for vehicles, or you can purchase an annual pass for $100. Whichever you buy, there is a $2 surcharge for your fur buddy each time you take them with you. If you're walking rather than driving, you can purchase an annual pedestrian day pass which includes your pets admission for $45. There is no one day option available.
The Bogart Park trail will show you and your pup just how diverse the landscape of this area of California is. The trailhead is next to the camping spot number twenty-two. Pick up a park map when you go in, and that will help you locate it. Your pup needs to be on their leash from the word go which is a good idea as there's a lot of wide open backcountry for them to get lost in. Take plenty of water for you and your fur buddy especially if you're hiking there in the summer.Â
Once you and your fur friend have hiked away from the campground, you'll be heading along a track which will lead you through shady wooded areas as well as alongside burbling creeks. The track will have you and your pup climbing up hillsides and skirting around ponds. There are some great viewpoints too where you can stop off for a while and take in the paw-some vistas of the mountains and the town below. They're the paw-fect place to chill out and catch your breath or share a picnic with your fur baby. Have a pup-tastic time!
