Description
If spending the day on a hike with your best canine pal sounds like a little slice of paradise, you won't want to miss a trip to the Boggy Creek Greenbelt Trail. It's a pawsitively awesome place to reconnect with nature and burn off some calories! 

The Boggy Creek Greenbelt Trail is an out and back trail that is 1.16 miles in length, and features some pawtastically scenic views. You may start the trail at the Nile Street parking lot which is the furthest from Webberville Road, and near the Rosewood-Zaragoza Neighborhood Center. As you follow the path, you will notice that it also travels along the Cap Metro Rail Line and traverses Boggy Creek several times. The trail travels through various green spaces, including Rosewood Park, and ends when you reach 12th Street. Your pooch may join you on this doggone amazing trail, but please do keep them on a lead at all times. 

The path meanders over relatively level terrain, making it well-suited to peeps and pooches of all skill levels. If you love to observe nature at its finest, you will have a ball on this wooftastic trail as it winds its way through many varieties of trees including pecan, oak, and several species of hardwood. You and your main canine squeeze will encounter lots of open grass spaces that are the pawrfect spot for a picnic lunch or a game of ball or frisbee. 

Picnic tables are placed along the trail where you could enjoy a light lunch or snack, or just take a rest from hiking. There is lots of shade along the route, so you won't have to worry about you or your best canine pal getting a sunburn. You will want to bring along drinking water and clean-up bags from home.
