The park contains two hiking trails which are perfect for any pup-ability. You can pick up the trailhead at the entrance to the park on a paved trail located here. This paved trail meanders through the park and is suitable for all pup-fitness levels. Enjoy walking through the scenic areas of the park and around the entire lake on the property. This lake offers fishing for visitors, so you might see someone catch a big one!
Head east on the paved trail and you will run into the multi-use trail. This is an out-and-back unpaved, dirt path which runs for 3 miles along the eastern and southern boundaries of the park. It is available for use by hikers, mountain bicyclists and horseback riders. Being almost completely level, and rated as easy, this pawtastic hike along the park’s creek will thrill any pup! You will even be lead directly through a spectacular 10-acre grove of redwood trees!Â
Either path you choose allows you to be surrounded by nature and gives you time to relax and reflect on the fur-ific day you are having. Restrooms and drinking fountains are located at the main entrance to the park, and plenty of picnic shelters are scattered among the trees on the path. A nature center can be found at the trailhead for the multi-use trail. Other features of the park include playgrounds and sports fields. April to December are the prime visiting months for these trails.
