Are you and your pup up for a unique hike in the city of Leggett, located in one of California’s beautiful areas? Then why not head to the Chandelier Drive Thru Tree Park trails and enjoy some of natures most beautiful scenery with your fur-ever friend?
The trails are located at the intersection of Hwy 1 and Hwy 101 at the Drive Thru Park. The park is a tourist attraction which features a giant redwood tree that has been carved out to let a car pass through the center of it. Although this is the park’s main attraction, the entire 200 acres here is brimming with other features, especially their hiking trails!
There are many trails which you will pick up behind the gift shop that meander through the land. They each offer you a different hike with varying levels. Each trail, however, is pup-friendly and easy on the paws. Any pup-ability will have a great time!
With each trail you pick, you will be treated to a carving done by local artists on the bases of trees that have since died or fallen in the past. No tree has been cut down, but rather the remaining standing trunk has been carved into various figures and shapes and makes for a nice addition to hiking through the area!
The main trail off the common area has a picnic day-use are, and winds through the woods, featuring a duck pond along the way. Sit and enjoy some quiet time here to reflect on the great day you had with your puptastic friend.
The entire park is pup-friendly, but you must keep Fido on leash for his safety. Wildlife is prevalent here, so stick to the trails. Water and restrooms are available in the park, so just bring some snacks for your visit. Chandelier Drive Thru Tree Park is a great day trip to visit with your pup!
