Clearview Park Trail

Are you and your canine kid looking for a nice short hiking path in the Westwood neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania? The Clearview Park Trail may be just what you are looking for. It is a little less than a mile one-way, but if you go back to the beginning, it will be close to two miles. This easy trail takes you along Clearview Avenue and starts at Crafton Boulevard and Noblestown Road. 

This pawesome path is wide enough for two and covered in wood chips, so it is easy on the feet and the paws. This is an old trolley route, so it is wide and smooth, which is furrific for beginners or those just looking for a nice walk. The trail is mostly shaded by large oaks and pine trees, and while some of the path is close to the road, much of it is enclosed in the woody and rustic area. 

You and your pooch will most likely come across some other trail walkers and bike riders as the Clearview Park Trail is a favorite path for many in the area. You will also probably see quite a few wild critters along your walk, such as squirrels, rabbits, birds, and even snakes, depending on what time of year it is. However, keep your pup on the leash to avoid any mishaps between the critters and your pup. 

There are several trash cans placed along the trail for your convenience, but there are no restrooms or drinking water access. However, in some areas, you are right next to local businesses on Crafton Boulevard which may have restrooms and water. Be sure to remember bags to clean up after your fur baby. There are a few benches placed along the path as well in case you need to take a break.
