The Santa Ana River Bike Trail is one of the most famous trails in the area. It paralells the Santa Ana River, and stops off at many parks and cross trails along its more than six mile expanse. Where it passes Fairview Park is a popular place to get on and off the bike trail. Entering from the park, take the main paths from the parking lot and continue west past the signs for the North Talbert Trail. You'll find yourself on the Santa Ana River Path. This little connector trail links Fairview Park with the Santa Ana River Bike Trail that runs just outside it, leading you out of the gates and down to the water front!Â
Fairview Park is a fun place to hike without getting too far from amenities. Here, you can access a parking lot, with restrooms and drinking fountains nearby. This is a big change from many trails, which lack these features!Â
In addition to the connection to the bike path, the park features North Talbert Trail. This trail will take you on a loop around the perimeter of the park. It's a good stretch, with a distance of just over two and a half miles! You can also use the connecting trails to make a shorter loop, so you don't have to try the whole thing.Â
