There are several ways to reach the famed Hahn Trail, so it truly depends on your desired trail length total and physical capabilities. The first choice is to begin your ascent via Cathedral City. The trail will roll through the Murray Hills, offering one-of-a-kind views you won't get anywhere else! There's a 2-mile (one-way) trip to Hahn Trail via Cathedral Canyon Trail just outside of Cathedral City. Once you reach the Hahn Trail, the trail will become very rugged with loose terrain, rocks, and desert cacti. Please be cautious of bikers and wildlife! The views of Palm Springs area is just wooftacular!
From here, you can continue down the 3.2-mile Hahn Trail. You'll reach Dunn Rd, and the trail continues on further via the Art Smith Trail which is ruff-ly 8 miles (again, one-way). As you can see, the Hahn Buena Vista Trail is no short of diversions. Another option is to reach the Hahn Trail is via the Wild Horse Trail.
Overall, getting to the Hahn Trail takes a bit of effort, so you might want to consider choosing only one section of the trip to complete, rather than doing the entire bike trail. As always, remember to be courteous to other dog-hikers and bikers. Most of all, remember to leave behind nothing but pawprints!
